ELLA is a non-governmental, non-profit organization. ELLA part of a broader coalition of individuals who are working to support stronger communities. ELLA is guided by altruistic principles that see an individual as an element of society as a whole. Community involvement is a way to expound on this concept and actively involve oneself in doing good deeds, thereby contributing to society while enhancing the life of the individual who partakes in service work.
